Rural settlement/staging post - Brentino Belluno
Locality Servasa, along the highway E45, about 300 metres north of the road "Strada Comunale del Noè" that leads to Brentino Belluno, 37020 Brentino Belluno

The archaeological area in Brentino is constituted of the remains of a rural building of Roman and late antiquity times (I-VI century A.D.). The building was probably used as a “mansio”, which is a rest stop, along the road “via Claudia Augusta” that from Ostiglia, through the Adige valley, reached Trento. Thanks to its strategic position on the Claudia Augusta, the staging post of Brentino must have held a relevant importance as a place for resting the horses and the travellers. Currently the site is not open to the public.
