Museum of Underwater Archaeology of Padua - Padova

The Museum of Underwater Archaeology of Padua, located in the former Church of Sant’Eufemia, displays numerous objects discovered in the stretch of the Brenta river immediately north of Padua. The most ancient finds date back to the Bronze Age, whereas the most conspicuous part of the collection consists of bronze items (fibulae, coins, small figurative bronzes and other votive objects) discovered in a shrine, which was visited by the believers from the early Iron Age to Late Antiquity. The museum collection also displays medieval weapons and tools, as well as numerous specimens of pottery dating back to the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance.
